Upcoming Tournaments

There are a number of queer tournaments planned over 2025, here are a few that you may be interested to register for :)

Scottish LGBTQ+

When: 24th - 25th May 2025 
Where: Motherwell & Hamilton, Scotland

• Our Friends from Scotland are organising a tournament in RavensCraig Regional Sports facility in Motherwell, Scotland on the weekend of 24th - 25th May.
• They recommend that you stay in Hamilton - this is where there are welcome drinks (on the 23rd) and where the medal ceremony and closing party are held on the 25th.
• Transport to the hall is via bus / taxi / uber at present, but they're looking into getting a bus rental to make this easier.
• The Cost to enter is £70 for two events, and events will range from singles, doubles, and mixed doubles in a similar format to the Bristol Swifts tournament.
• This is the first year of this tournament and would be a great one to support!

QBA Amsterdam

• The QBA in Amsterdam are again holding their doubles tournament on Saturday 28th June 2025. This is a non-gendered tournament and open to all from A to C- levels.
• The sports hall is centrally located in the de Pijp neighbourhood in Amsterdam and easily accessible via public transport.
• Welcome drinks are typically on the night before the event (June 27th), with a post-tournament party on the night of 28th.
• The Cost to enter is €60, with a party ticket costing an additional €10.

EuroGames Lyon

When: 23th - 26th July 2025 
Where: Lyon, France

• EuroGames is a multi-sport event that promotes inclusion and diversity, particularly within the LGBTQIA+ community. It is held annually in different European cities and features a wide range of sports, including parasports, with a strong emphasis on eco-responsibility. The next EuroGames will take place in Lyon, France, from July 23 to 26, 2025.
  
• Badminton is one of the available sports for Lyon 2025. There are some slots still available to enter the competition, particularly for women. You can view the available slots on the badminton overview page for the tournament.
• There are a good number of Flaming Feathers members going to this tournament - if you're interested in attending with us then join the "Tour - Lyon Eurogames 2025" channel on the Flaming Feathers Whatsapp Community. 

Goslings London 2025

• The London Goslings are holding their 2025 tournament in Redbridge Sports Centre in Ilford on 17th & 18th October, which is accessible on the Tube.
• They've planned a whole programme of events from the 15th October which are detailed on their official tournament page.
• The Cost to enter is £72.
