Who are Flaming Feathers, and why should I join you?
Flaming Feathers is a Dublin based LGBTQ+ amateur Badminton Club. We play badminton both socially and competitively, and welcome players of all levels to our ranks. During league season we run regular training for both beginners and more advanced players, and our members are a mix of skill levels, ages, and genders.
While most of our members identify as part of the LGBTQ+ community we also welcome allies of all kinds to join us and enjoy playing badminton with us. Our players compete in DDLC (Dublin District Leagues & Cups) run events, local badminton tournaments, and internationally. We also know how to have a good time, and organise regular social events for our members to bond, grow, and spread the love of badminton among our community.

Badminton games which are accessible to All Skill Levels
Flaming Feathers welcomes both beginners and experienced badminton players. Our club offers a supportive environment where everyone can improve their badminton skills and enjoy the sport at their own pace.
How can you get involved?
The "regular" badminton year starts in September and runs through until April. During this time we run sessions three times per week:
- Social Sessions run on Sundays in Swan Leisure in Rathmines
- For the 2024 / 2025 season we are running two midweek sessions, both of which take place in Saint Marys College in Rathmines.
- Tuesdays from 19:30 to 21:30: Beginner Coaching & Games
✨ Our Division 9 & Beginners ✨ sessions are primarily focused at those new to the sport, playing in Division 9-10, or Category D/C-. - Wednesdays from 19:30 to 21:30: Beginner Coaching & Games
✨ Our more advanced✨ sessions are primarily focused at Intermediate players, those playing in Division 6-8, or Category C+/B-.
- Tuesdays from 19:30 to 21:30: Beginner Coaching & Games
Once the "regular" season concludes, we usually take a short break and continue to run our Social Sessions over the summer months every Sunday.
